• The Chairman of the Saudi Contractors Authority meets the business sector in the region next Wednesday

    On Wednesday 15/Aug/ 2018, Asharqia Chamber, represented by the Contracting Committee, will organize a meeting of businessmen and businesswomen in the Eastern Region with the Chairman of the Saudi Contractors Authority, Eng. Osama bin Hassan al-Afaliq, at the headquarters of the Chamber in Dammam. During which many topics related to the construction sector and developments in the sector will be discussed.

     

    A member of the chamber's board of directors and chairman of the contracting committee, Hamad bin Hamoud al-Hammad, said that this meeting, which falls within the activities of the Committee for the current year 2018, will discuss the challenges facing the construction sector, the vision of the Kingdom 2030 and the role of the contracting sector, and the strategic map of the Committee

    Al-Hammad added that this meeting came to confirm that the image of the future-in the short and long terms-looks bright, and involves dozens of hundreds of projects, which requires the workers in the sector to prepare for, as it enter into the process, and search for the new required to be implemented according to the latest means and the highest specifications and fastest times.

     

    He pointed out that the challenges faced by workers in the sector are numerous because the circumstances are different and the responsibility is great for the sector in light of the vision of the Kingdom 2030. The Kingdom is like a great workshop that does not stop, and the ambitious projects are large and wide in the country's vast area.

    The sector is required to interact with these developments and to submit high-quality tenders that are in line with the ambition affirmed by the new vision, which in turn puts the sector in front of a special challenge.

    He stressed that the challenges of establishing something, and the challenges of development is another thing, and what the country is witnessing is the mix of the two of them, as "we have large-scale projects and projects looking forward to development, both of which require a certain level of quality, and this will be discussed in the meeting with HE Eng. Osama Al-Afaliq."

     

    He expressed the hope that this meeting with Engineer Al-Afaliq will be productive and supportive of the sector in the face of the new challenges and achieve communication and coordination between the contractors with the Saudi Contractors Authority. This will lead to the exchange of experiences and energies, and solving problems and challenges.​
